Where's Wally

There he is! This is a simple but effective costume (apart from the bobble hat) but I think some others are going as Wally so I am thinking on...

I do love the F-F, they were my favourite books as a child. For this I figure I'd need a snazzy knitted jumper, some shorts, ankle socks and accessories such as a map, binoculars and some ginger beer (obvs). And I'd get to eat fifty million sandwiches and say 'rather!' all day. What a life. But I don't know if the kids of today would get it.

I am rather drawn to this one as I want to shove a pillow down my tummy and eat Hunny. I have some bear ears, but am I going to be able to find yellow leggings?
Dora the Explorer

This idea also appeals to me, it's simple but I think the children will recognise it. Just needs a pink tee, orange shorts (hmm), yellow socks and an awesome backpack. Plus explorer-y accessories.
Alice in Wonderland

I have always wanted to dress up as Alice. Or the Cheshire Cat or the Mad Hatter or a playing card. This book lends itself so well to fancy dress. But I don't know if I'd be able to pull it off in time!

Isn't she beautiful? Ok, I just want some ruby slippers. If I come across some in my Primark outing tomorrow, and a cute blue pinafore dress, I may just rock this look. Small Dog could be Toto in a basket.
Do you have any ideas for some groovy literary characters dressing up costumes? What would you dress as?

When I was younger I dressed like George from the Famous Five and brought a little toy dog in to act as Timmy. Would totally recreate that costume now! Where's Wally is also a great one.
