I'm sorry little blog, I abandoned you for a while. I decided to take a small break from blogging. I stuck up a post or two at the beginning of the month, but then the days passed and I couldn't quite get my arse in gear to keep writing. You didn't do anything wrong, blog, I promise. But it's been all summery and fabulous out there.
I'm not saying I've been living it up and thus have had no time to do such inane things as blogging. Far from it. Life has just been going on in the style that it does, being made all the sweeter by the sunshine.
Oh my God, sunshine. It is like crack. I am dreading the time when everyone starts rabbiting on about autumn and pumpkin and leaves and all that crap.
So yeah, things have been happening, let me look back and see... my last post was on the 11th, it feels a lot further away than that. It's been nice just cracking on with life and not worrying about photos and blog posts and reviews for a while, but I missed it here.
I have been reading my favourite blogs as always, I haven't been commenting nearly as much, but I'll be taking the time to say hi again to the lovely blogs I like to frequent.
To ease me back in, here are some things that have been going on.
|A random smoosh of things that I shared with Facebook.|
Work. Work has been busy but great. Technically my contracted days were meant to go down, but I've managed to scrabble together enough each week so far. I've been leading school visits in the sunshine, going to and planning for events (one event was at a fair with a DOG SHOW, so cool) and helping with a bid to buy some land for a new nature reserve. The last three days I've been trawling statistics, chasing up letters of support and hounding staff for various bits of information. Actually really enjoyed it! I pulled a muscle in my back moving a picnic bench though, so that was an error.
Play. Because of all the random days I have been working my schedule has been a bit here and there, but I think it's calming down now. The main awesome thing I got to do was a weekend in Cardiff with my friends :)
We rented a flat for two nights, it was on the 12th floor and super scary and high! It was in the centre of the city between the Bay and the town.
Check out Da View! I am a little afraid of high up stuff so didn't venture onto the balcony.
On Saturday we hit up Porthcawl beach, initially with the intention of hiring boards, but the sea was so flat we just swam and hung out on the beach.
We ventured a little further from the main beach and set up camp by these wicked rock pools.
The rest of the weekend we ate, drank and were merry. Cardiff seems to be a really cool city, it's close to great things like beaches and the Welsh valleys and mountains, but also is full of great shops and things to appease me.
And I smashed my car into a concrete pillar in a multistorey car park, resulting in a very nice Welsh AA man coming to save me.
Sport and recreation. Working at the weekend, active days on the reserve, hothot weather, and minibreaks away (aaw minibreaks, how Bridget Jones) have meant my exercise has been less regular. I haven't been running much, and Sunday work/being away/being hugely hungover has meant no Zumba. I got back On It yesterday with a Parkrun (so slow, so epicly slow) and sweated about fifty buckets at Zumba. Hopefully that will get me back on track!
Blog plans. Forgot to mention this earlier, but the main reason I aint been about is the fact my camera is out of battery and I can't find the cable (I am such a broken record). Hopefully I've figured out a way to charge it, as I have a TON of stuff to share.
I'm really looking forward to getting blogging again.
